Project Type: Residential, Major Renovation

This renovation and extension project focused on reimagining the kitchen, dining, living, and laundry zones, extending the footprint by approximately two metres to support a more functional and expressive layout. Bold yet beautifully resolved, the design embraces a striking balance of drama grounded in its surrounds.

Framed by soft chevron flooring and intricate ceiling cornices, the kitchen anchors the home with depth, inky hued cabinetry and cool stone tempered by natural light spilling in from full-height black steel-framed doors that open fully to the garden.

These steel doors form a defining feature, blurring the threshold between inside and out while contributing a strong architectural rhythm throughout the space.

Fluted glass doors conceal a bar and display wall, folding away with ease to reveal a dedicated space for contemporary entertaining. Veined marble sweeps across the benchtops and splashbacks with considered intention, while integrated joinery allows function to sit quietly behind the visual language of the home. Every element is deliberate, from the symmetry of the layout to the elegant proportions and layered detailing.

Arcadia Residence strikes a deliberate balance, expressive in form, yet deeply grounded. It’s a space that commands attention not through excess, but through the clarity of its design gestures: bold material pairings, considered detailing, and the constant presence of light and landscape.
